Holistic Horizons Privacy Policy

 

Details submitted via this website or our online signup via Mailchimp comprise “personal data” for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998. We are therefore required to give you the following information.

The data controller for any such personal data is Jenny Charlton t/a Holistic Horizons and she will be processing such personal data in the following ways depending on the data you provide to us.

Your personal data will be stored and used by Holistic Horizons for the purposes of fulfilling the contract between Holistic Horizons and their clients by providing yoga classes, baby massage classes and/or complementary therapy treatments. Your data will be used to ensure  safety and for keeping in touch with you:

• If you attend yoga classes or receive complementary therapies we need to record and keep some information on your health in order to provide the best class or treatment and in order to keep you safe. For legal and insurance purposes we are required to keep this information for at least 7 years after your last class/treatment. These records are currently paper records and no health information is stored digitally.

• Where you have agreed to receive our monthly newsletter, your name and email address will be stored in Mailchimp to enable us to send this to you. You have the ability to unsubscribe from this at anytime.

We will not pass your details on to any third party. In the unlikley event of a data breach clients will be informed as soon as possible.

Under the Data Protection Act you have the right to access your personal data held by us and to correct any inaccuracies in that information. You have the ‘right to be forgotten’ and can request that all information held is destroyed, after the legal minimum retention period (this is 7 years after your last class/treatment for  health information and treatment records, but you can unsubscribe from communications from Holistic Horizons immediately).
